Joyce the Florist Ikebana School is officially certified by the Ohara School of Ikebana, founded in 1895 and celebrated for revolutionising Japanese floral art with the Moribana style.
We offer training in both Natural Moribana, which evokes landscapes within a vessel, and Shikisai Moribana, known for bold colour and expression. Following the Ohara School’s internationally recognised curriculum, our courses guide learners from beginners to aspiring instructors with structure and support.
Beyond technique, we value sustainability, creativity, and cultural appreciation—bringing the timeless art of Ikebana into today’s living.
Trial Lessons – £38

Your trial includes everything you need—scissors, kenzan, and vase—so you can simply enjoy the experience. There is no need to pay the full fee until your first official class, and no extra purchases are required.

Certification & Diploma
Upon completing the required Ikebana curriculum, students may apply for official certificates and diplomas awarded by the Ohara School Headquarters. We provide full support throughout the application process.

Teaching Style
At Joyce the Florist Ikebana School, each student receives individual attention, alongside opportunities to collaborate, observe, and learn from others. One-to-one guidance is always part of the process. Advance booking is required, though students may also visit during open class times and join if space is available.
Essential Tools
All tools are provided in the classroom—Ohara scissors, kenzan, and vases—selected according to each lesson. Students need not prepare or purchase anything in advance.
